Irelands Highest Points
Our love for hiking adventures started out with what is probably regarded as the oldest long-distance hike in the world (the Camino de Santiago). This got us hooked on long distance hiking and mountain walking. When our daughter arrived these long-distance hikes had to stop so we needed a new challenge. After a small bit of research, we came across Kieron Gibbons book on Irelands 32 highest points. In the book, Kieron details Ireland 32 counties highest points. He also gives GPS coordinates where to start each hike along with maps and instructions on how to climb or walk each section along with different route options for each hike.
We bought Ireland’s County High Points -A Walking Guide from Amazon in September 2017, we hope to complete all the major high points with our daughter before the end of 2018. Fingers crossed and weather permitting.
Below is the list of the Irelands highest points that we have completed so far. Some do not have blog posts yet but we are busy typing them up.
